Well i guess it all started when i was a kid. i was under 10 and starting races at the old abandoned windsor dragstrip watching my dad and his friends racing rusted out muscle cars. I knew i wanted to do that, and when i was 15 i started playing around tring to make my car go faster, no matter how big or slow it was.
After much toil and sorrow i noticed that there looked like an easier way to go. Motorcycles were going so much faster, and without doing a lot of work. I marched straight down to the local harley davidson dealer and filled out a finace application and was instantly approved. Great!now to check the numbers. Wait a minute!? I can buy a japanese bike for less than half and go double the speed? Its not right, is it? It was. No harley. Got a honda. Good times, great rides and low e.t's.(compared to my car)
Just like everybody else on this site speed is my drug and i'm always hooking up to try and get my fix so i got bigger and faster bikes as i went along. I don't really ride hard on the street anymore, i might not ride on the street at all this year. I had a pretty bad crash a few years ago and it was enough to make me into a motorcycle safety advocate. I like the track instead. Drag racing or road racing is for me.
My first love is the honda but it seems that you can't beat suzuki for parts availability.this helps when crashing, breaking or building a track bike. I've built twogsxr's now and i'm sure that even the 600 can out perform me as a rider.
